    By Air      

    There is regular flight to Leh from Delhi, Jammu, Srinagar and Chandigarh. Leh airport is 8 Km from City.

     By Rail      
    The nearest Railway station is Jammu which ia around 750 Km from Leh.

     By Road    
    There are two routes to reach Leh. One is from Kashmir Valley and other is from Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Srinagar to Leh The distance of leh from Srinagar is 434-km . It is the main route with an over night halt at Kargil. The road is open between mid May and November. Ordinary and deluxe buses of the J&K state road transport corporation regularly ply on this route. Taxis, cars and jeeps are also available at Srinagar for the journey. Manali to Leh The distance of leh from Leh is 473-km .This is a spectacular journey with an overnight halt at tented camps at Sarchu or Pang. Open for traffic from around mid-June to early October. This high road traverses the upland desert plateau of Rupsho, altitude ranges from 3,660m to 4,570m. A number of high passes fall enroute among which the highest one known as Taklang-La is world's second highest motorable pass at an altitude of 17,469 feet/5,235m.
